About

I first ventured into art in 2015, being very humble beginnings with basic watercolour instruction, having never painted before.

It felt the right time in my life to explore something new, having always been a creative person.

From 2016 onwards, I have had regular tutoring from John Lovett, watercolour artist, undertaking many workshop trips with John and other artists throughout Australia, as well as in England and New Zealand.

Painting soon became a huge passion in my life. My skills in watercolour improved rapidly and within a few short years, I was winning prizes in competitions and selling my art worldwide.

I now also paint occasionally with acrylics on stretched canvas, as well as drawing scenes with ink and colour pencils on the back of flattened out cardboard biscuit or cereal boxes. This is a super fun style of art, and I particularly love to capture street scenes showing advertising and street signage, power poles and lines and including movement with cars and people. This is also a fantastic artform using a recycled surface as the substrate, and proving that art can be produced in many ways and not always with expensive art materials.

My most recent exhibition, which concluded in January 2023, titled "Do You See What I See", was held at the Warwick Art Gallery. This was my fourth solo exhibition, which was very well received. It is thrilling to now show my artwork in an online store.

The photo shows myself (left) with my beautiful daughter, Alicia, who is my constant supporter and sounding board, as well as being the key person to help set up this website. I am forever grateful for her help!

All watercolour works are framed original paintings behind glass and mostly painted en plein air.

I ship anywhere in Australia. Please enquire if you're interested in international shipping and we can work out what suits you.
